While PBS stations around the country are focusing on Ken Burn's newest offering, entitled The War, KRCB, the PBS station serving the North Bay communities of Sonoma, Napa, and Marin, and much of the greater Bay area, is presenting a unique collection of programs in September and October - The Peace Film Series. At Almaden, our History and Non-Fiction Book club will be discussing two books related to war at our Tuesday, November 6, at 6:30 PM meeting. We will discuss "Blackwater : the rise of the world's most powerful mercenary army" by Jeremy Scahill, and "War is a force that gives us meaning" by Chris Hedges. Tea and cookies will be served.
