February Flowers - A Reading by Fan Wu

Acclaimed San Jose author Fan Wu reads from her new novel, February Flowers. Her reading will be followed by a discussion and book signing. Sandra Cisneros says of Ms. Wu's novel, "An exquisitely beautiful book about that uncertain border between girlhood and womanhood, between passion and desire, a country only too familiar to all women. Beat the Librarian at Guitar Hero

Have you spent hours strumming a fake guitar? When you sleep do you see red, green, and blue circles coming at you? Have you beaten Freebird on expert? If you've answered yes to one or more of these questions, then you should compete in: Beat the Librarian at Guitar Hero! Prove your Rockstar status by participating in our first Guitar Hero competition. If you don't want to play, join us anyway to watch all of the action and drama that is sure to unfold. Prizes will be awarded to our winners and snacks will be provided for everyone! Signups will take place 30 minutes before we start and there are a limited number of open spaces so be sure to get there early! This program is for teens 12-18 years old. Friends of the King Library Booksale

The Friends of the King Library are having a booksale. The revenues from these sales are donated back to the library for use in sponsoring a variety of community and literacy projects.
