teensReach Meeting

Teens: you are invited to the monthly teensReach Meeting. teensReach is the youth council for the San José Public Library. It provides a key way for young adults to build their leadership skills by developing and participating in library activities, as well as becoming library advisors and advocates. Meetings at the King Library take place at 4:00 p.m. on the third Friday of each month. This program is for students in grades 8 -12, ages 13-18. For information call (408) 808-2397.

Sign-ups for Summer Reading Celebration

Youth and their families are invited to sign up for Summer Reading Celebration, starting Saturday, June 16. Pick up the appropriate theme log (“Get a Clue @ your library,” ages birth through 5th grade; “YNK @ your library,” grades 6 – 12) and begin solving the mystery of what will be your favorite book this summer. Record minutes of reading and earn fun prizes. Enjoy all the extra free activities taking place at libraries throughout the city.
