We feature a number of various online databases (at http://sjlibrary.org/research/databases/index.htm). If you're trying to write a paper about a person, the Biography Resource Center is an excellent resource, and it's updated frequently. The BIORC now includes biographies on more than 340,000 people from antiquity through the present day.
